What is the Difference Between Tasks and Events?

Tasks

In PackageBee, Tasks are asynchronous operations (import, export, reset, reprocess, archive etc) that need to be executed on specific channels (orders, returns, shipments, inventory or catalog). For example, importing an order is a distinct task from resetting an order or importing a shipment, and must be completed before those Tasks begin.

Tasks can have three statuses: Completed, Incomplete, or Stopped.

Tasks are listed on the Tasks view, which can be accessed in the PackageBee Dashboard.

Events

Events are occurrences of actual executions of a task. For example, importing an order at 08/10/2020 7:55:25 AM is a different event than importing the same order at 08/12/2020 4:37:29 PM or importing a different order at 08/10/2020 7:55:25 AM. Events have timestamps, e.g. 09/11/2020 3:21:15.6040 PM.

Events are listed on the Events tab of the channel they apply to.
