3PL Central - (REST) Enable API Access

Note: If your 3PL Central account uses the SOAP API, view these instructions instead:

(SOAP) Enable API access in PackageBee.

The API (Application Programming Interface) provides automated communication between connected systems. In order to automate fulfillment, access to the REST API must be enabled.

Enter REST API credentials in PackageBee

If you have not yet gathered your REST API credentials, follow these steps first:

(REST) Gather API credentials from 3PL Central.

  1. In your PackageBee Dashboard, click Warehouses.

  1. Click the name of your 3PL Central warehouse.

  1. Under Connection details, for API version, choose REST (Version 2).

  1. Enter your REST API credentials:
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret
  • TPL Key
  • User Login ID
  • Customer ID

3PL Central connection details (REST) - required

  1. Optional: Specify the following settings:
  • Facility ID (default: 1)
  • Local Time Zone (default: GMT-05:00 Eastern Time)
  • Carrier billing code, one of:
  • Prepaid (default)
  • Recipient
  • USPS Third Party
  • FedEx Third Party
  • UPS Third Party
  • Collect
  • FedEx or UPS Account Number, if applicable
  • Customer Retailer ID, if applicable
  • Carrier Billing Postal Code, if applicable
  • Enable Include Package Details to send shipment data to the sales platform at line-item level (default: disabled)

3PL Central connection details - optional

  1. Click Save changes.
