Update, August 2023: These instructions for using the WooCommerce XML-RPC integration are deprecated. Please use the WooCommerce REST API integration for all new WooCommerce connections. Legacy connections using XML-RPC will continue to operate, but migration to the WooCommerce REST integration is recommended.
This article outlines the steps required to configure your WooCommerce integration.
- Plugin requirements
- Configure product SKUs
- Gather shipping methods
- Gather API credentials
- Enable API access
- Enable shipment tracking
- Review order status
Before you begin, check that your WooCommerce store is compatible with PackageBee.
Configure product SKUs
Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in WooCommerce are identical to the SKUs loaded into your warehouse management system.
Gather shipping methods
As part of the third-party fulfillment setup, a mapping must be created from each shipping method offered in the eCommerce system to the unique shipping code used by the fulfillment center.
Gather API credentials
Gather the information required to access the WooCommerce API.
Enable API access
Enter the API credentials in your PackageBee store to enable API access.
Enable Shipment Tracking
A Shipment Tracking extension is required to enable tracking numbers for WooCommerce orders. After you install the extension, PackageBee will populate tracking numbers in the order when they become available.
Review order status
When you set the connection to Enabled, PackageBee automatically sends orders from WooCommerce to your warehouse management system.
