Configure product SKUs
Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in Magento are identical to the SKUs loaded into your fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.
Gather shipping methods
As part of the third-party fulfillment setup, the shipping methods offered in the eCommerce system must be mapped to the corresponding shipping codes used by the fulfillment provider.
Minimum user permissions
When you create a Magento user for API access, we recommend the user have access to all role resources. If you must restrict the user access, make sure the minimum permissions are enabled.
Gather API credentials
To enable API access, you must gather your Web Service Username, API Key, and Store URL. It is recommended that you also enable the WSDL Cache.
Enable API access
The API (Application Programming Interface) allows for automated communication between connected systems. Before automated fulfillment can begin, API access must be enabled.
Enable inventory tracking
The integration supports inventory tracking.
Include tracking numbers in shipment emails
PackageBee provides an enhancement to the default settings allowing tracking numbers to be sent in shipment emails for Magento.
Review order status
Setting the integration to Enabled will begin the process of automatically sending orders from Magento to your fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.
Configure bundled or separate line items
Magento provides the option to bundle products, or list them as individual line items. PackageBee honors these settings when displaying your orders.
Magento version support
The following versions of Magento are supported by PackageBee:
- Magento Community (versions 1.6.x, 1.7.x, 1.8.x, and 1.9.x)
- Magento Enterprise
