Rakuten - Configure for Automated Fulfillment

Rakuten

This article outlines the steps required for configuring your Rakuten integration.

  1. Configure product SKUs
  2. Gather shipping methods
  3. Gather API credentials
  4. Enable API access
  5. Enabling inventory tracking

Configure SKUs

Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in Rakuten are identical to the SKUs loaded into your fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.

Gather shipping methods

As part of the third-party fulfillment setup, a mapping must be created from each unique shipping method option to the corresponding code used by your fulfillment provider.
