Shopify - Configure SKUs

Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in Shopify exactly match the SKUs loaded into your fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.

Add an SKU for a new product

  1. Log in to your Shopify administration panel.
  2. Click Products > Add product.
  3. Under Inventory & variants, enter a unique SKU.

  1. Click Save.

Add or edit an SKU for an existing product

  1. Log in to your Shopify administration panel.
  2. Click Products, and select the desired product.
  3. Under Inventory & variants, click Edit for the desired variant.
  4. Modify the SKU, then click Save.
