Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in Magento exactly match the SKUs loaded into your fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.

Add a new SKU

To add an SKU to a new product in Magento:

  1. In the Magento administration panel, click Catalog > Manage Products.
  2. Click Add Product.
  3. On the New Product screen, enter the product SKU.

Modify an existing SKU

To modify the SKU of an existing product in Magento:

  1. In the Magento administration panel, click Catalog > Manage Products.
  2. Click the product listing.
  3. Modify the SKU.
  4. Click Save.

Notes

  • By default, all Magento products require an SKU.
  • There are no restrictions on the types of products you can use in Magento when integrated with PackageBee.
