Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in Magento exactly match the SKUs loaded into your fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.
Add a new SKU
To add an SKU to a new product in Magento:
- In the Magento administration panel, click Catalog > Manage Products.
- Click Add Product.
- On the New Product screen, enter the product SKU.
Modify an existing SKU
To modify the SKU of an existing product in Magento:
- In the Magento administration panel, click Catalog > Manage Products.
- Click the product listing.
- Modify the SKU.
- Click Save.
Notes
- By default, all Magento products require an SKU.
- There are no restrictions on the types of products you can use in Magento when integrated with PackageBee.
