Configure product SKUs
Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) are merchant-defined codes that uniquely identify products in a warehouse. It is critical that the SKUs defined in 3dcart are identical to the SKUs loaded into your fulfillment provider's warehouse management system.
Gather shipping methods
As part of the third-party fulfillment setup, the shipping methods offered in the eCommerce system must be mapped to the corresponding shipping codes used by your fulfillment provider.
Gather API credentials
To enable API access, you must gather the 3dcart Secure URL.
Enable API access
The API (Application Programming Interface) allows for automated communication between connected systems. Before automated fulfillment can begin, API access must be enabled.
Enable inventory tracking
Inventory tracking is enabled by default with 3dcart integration. For products with options (such as size or color), you must define an inventory tracking SKU to enable tracking.
Review order status
PackageBee can help you manage order status in 3dcart.
After an order has been placed and paid for, the order is placed in the New status by default. Once the order has been transferred to the fulfillment provider's warehouse management system by PackageBee, the order is placed in the Processing status.
Once the tracking number has been received by PackageBee and sent back to the 3dcart, the order is changed to the Shipped status.
Custom order status
By default, orders with status New will be imported to PackageBee for processing. However, in some cases you may want to define a custom status, so PackageBee waits before processing your orders.
